Generator Installations

JL Britt Electric, Inc. performs generator installations for residential, commercial and industrial applications. We are proud to be a Power Pro Elite Plus dealer for Generac Power Systems. We are outfitted to perform all aspects of the installation including electrical wiring, fuel piping, concrete installation and more. We also take care of securing the required permits and scheduling inspectors. All of our installation services are performed by our employees in house and we don't utilize sub-contractors.

Generator Repair and Service

We have two Generac Certified technicians that are outfitted to perform repairs of all Generac residential and commercial generators. In addition to Generac Brand units, we also repair other brands. We are glad to perform repairs and warranty service even if we did not perform the installation. If you are an electrical contractor that installs generators but you are not equipped to handle repair, we would be glad to assist you. Our service area covers the southeastern portion of North Carolina. Our service trucks are stocked with parts needed for most repairs. 

Generator Sales

We stock an assortment of generators, transfer switches, batteries, parts, concrete pads and more. We also sell a full line of products from Generac Power Equipment and Winco Power Systems. We will be glad to sell even if we don't perform the installation. If you are an installing contractor or a homeowner and you would like to purchase units from us just let us know. 

Preventative Maintenance

​We provide annual or semi-annual service plans for all generator brands. During our maintenance visits we change the oil, filters and spark plugs if applicable. We also check the valve clearance, battery, electrical connections, transfer switch and load shedding equipment. We suggest replacing the battery if it is 3 years old or more. If you have a liquid cooled unit, we check and replace the coolant if required. We are happy to provide a custom plan for you if you desire more or less service frequency on your unit.  If you are interested in performing your own maintenance, we stock the maintenance kits and synthetic oil for purchase.

​Remote Monitoring

We provide dealer monitoring for your generator to add a level of security for you in the event that you are away from home. If you are enrolled in a monitoring plan, we check the status of your generator daily to ensure that it is ready to provide power to your facility if needed. As a customer, you will also be able to monitor your generator with a free app. Remote monitoring can be connected via the WIFI system in your home or with a cellular based LTE system. There is a setup fee required for this service. However, if we install a new unit for you, this setup fee is waived. If you are interested in this service, please call us for more info.
